Valuelist from a global field

Can I have a valuelist from a global field?

I thought that would have been good option - so user's can modify valuelist from the web.

I think you've answered your own question. A field must be indexable to be used as a value list. Use a text field in file with one record instead.

In deed, when using a global field, you can only have one entry, and a value list based on only one entry, seems quite unneccessary to me anyway.

Pontus, you could enter multiple values separated by paragraph marks to get multiple entries. in fact this is how to do it with LiveOak's suggestion.
