Garry Claridge Posted February 14, 2002 Posted February 14, 2002 You will need Server if you are also serving more than a couple of non-web users; i.e. FMP users of the same database on a LAN. You should look at using CDML to customise you web pages. Instant Web Publishing is for very basic database access. Hope this helps. Garry
Addam Posted February 14, 2002 Posted February 14, 2002 Ok... Let me get this right.... I keep my FMP Server for (NON-Web users)... For the WEB users, I use FMPU on another computer... right? Where does the IIS come into play?
Garry Claridge Posted February 14, 2002 Author Posted February 14, 2002 Here is the story: Server for FMP clients; Unlimited for browser clients; IIS for serving static and image content. All of these can be on sererate computers. However, depending on the load, IIS and Unlimited on one and Server on another. SOme people may even run them all on the one computer. All the best. Garry
Addam Posted February 14, 2002 Posted February 14, 2002 oohhh ok! That's what I was looking for! Thank you sooo much! ~Addam~

Garry Claridge Posted February 15, 2002 Author Posted February 15, 2002 If you will be serving more than 10 IP addresses in a 12 hour period, you will need FM Unlimited. All the best. Garry
Addam Posted February 15, 2002 Posted February 15, 2002 Do I need FMP SERVER? I have FMP Unlimited, but the webcompanion Nav sucks... I'm going to have to build my own... what do I need to get this thing going? Thanks!
