Script to go to layout mode?

Featured Replies

I know about the scripts for go to browse, find, ect mode. Is there a way to do one to go to layout mode?

No such animal.

Believe me, you don't want your users to go there...

I just have a database that is locked up. I just wanted to figure out a way where I could let a user go to one particular layout (a letter) and allow them to modify the layout. you know, change font, size, color, ect.

Oh well, guess I cant have my cake and eat it to. I know I could put the letter in another related file for printing, and allow users to edit that layout. But this approach wont work since the letter is a bulk letter and gets a copy printed from every record where a particular checkbox is checked.

You'll be surprised how little formatitng users can do without if they really need to... or how they can make do with just 2 or 3 "templates" to choose from.

Your job is to create couple of layouts (the fewer the better) tht fit most of their needs. For the other 10%, let them export the data and mail-merge in Word.

You can perform a find based upon your checkbox and import to another file for printing. This new file can have privileges that allow editing.
