I am working on a solution to automatically read data off of CD ROMs in a 7 CD tower, and I am looking for a way to read the SCSI ID or disk number or something so that I can indicate to the user which drives are in use, and which are not.

I can get the volume names, but that does not indicate which of the 7 drives it is in.

Ultimately I will be showing a graphic of each drive, which will show it as empty or with a CD in it.

The Troi file plug-in does not seem to have any way to get this information, but I was hoping that Applescript can.
