iBook client being disconnected sporatically

Featured Replies

One of our users is sporatically getting booted from the FileMaker server. In the event log it shows up as a normal disconnection, like he just logged out. He gets a script error and exit of error code 2 I believe. Although I'm not 100% positive that is the error number and am waiting for a failing case to verify.

Ideas anyone?

Please help!

The error message is

"Connection with host was interupted & could not be re-established -1072"

Has anyone run into this before or know of any application which may be a potential conflict.

Thanks

This error may have nothing to do with FileMaker Pro. It could be a network or OS error. It could even be a hardware fault.

Let's start with the basics: What version and patch level of FMP are they using? How much RAM has the iBook got and how much is allocated to FMP? What OS are they using?

Are they using a wireless card?

He is using FMP 5.0v3

The iBook has 256 MB or Ram of which 8192K suggested to FMP allocation, a minimum of 4096K.

The O.S. is 9.2.2

No, not using a wireless card. Standard ethernet.

Thanks!

Turns out the ibooks are set to sleep every 15 minutes or so. It looses connection with the FileMaker Server when this happens
