filemaker for on-line quiz developer

I want to develop a on-line quiz, just wonder anybody have used filemaker for such purposes, if so, could you please provide some examples?

thanks

Garry, why is the polkadotts site limited to IE 5.0 or higher? I'm sure you have a reason. And hey, I'm curious.

It uses a lot of Javascript and frames. One of the non-technical directors made the decision based on the fact that you couldn't press enter/return key to submit the login without extra development time.

It also uses Quicktime movies and some other sound and graphics. Hence, the later versions are better.

All the best.

Garry

I suspect sooner may be looking for more basic help.

Sooner - are you currently using Filemaker, as a database prog, or on a local network? Do you need basic is it worth it, how do you go about getting started, type advice?, or do you have specific quiz-related questions?

Thanks Garry.

We developed one for the www.polkadotts.com site. It is a weekly quiz from which the user scores points. These points are then used in conjuction with games developed in Flash.

The quiz consisted of two databases; one for questions and master answers, one for the users answers. The questions are added weekly (key is week/year) and the users answers are stored by 'user code and week/year'.

The scores are gained by calculated fields.

It also used the 'users' database which has usercodes, passwords, total score, etc.

Hope this is of interest.

Garry
