Perhaps I just don't get it but what happens after the Dial phone script step is executed? Can one dial a fax number and then send a fax or is it for dialing up to a ISP or what?

As far as I know, it just picks up the phone, dials, and that's it.

Then you pick up the phone and begin the conversation.

It's like having a secretary to dial for you. Handy for people who make phone calls all day to people in a Filemaker database.

It'd be cool if it would work with a Norstar telephone system, but of course that's digital.

Has anyone found somehting or someway out there to make Filemaker dial through a Norstar phone system? Through plug-ins, modems, scripts, anything? Thank you.

I know you can buy an analog interface for a Norstar system so that you can connect a modem. So, that should be able to recognize the dialing tones. Probably expensive though.
