November 15, 200223 yr Need example or information how to control different access level in Filemaker and how to organize the group, password and access I know a lot of question
November 15, 200223 yr Hi Ricky: Go to File/Access Privledges. You will see Passwords, Groups and Overview. You can set up different passwords to give permissions for things such as editing/deleting records, layout access, etc. You can set groups up (users and admin, for example) to allow them to use the defined passwords and allow them access to certain layouts and fields. Access FileMaker Help and type Access Privledges in the index. All you need to know will be there. Ken
November 19, 200223 yr I found passwords/groups to be one of the most confusing things to learn in FileMaker. Not sure about the help files, but I found a book helpful I used "FileMaker Advanced - Visual Quickstart Guide"... I think that's what it's called. There were some things in the book I didn't agree with entirely but the intro to passwords/groups was good.
