gnarlydude Posted November 25, 2002 Share Posted November 25, 2002 I've been fooling around with Erik F's Aqua graphics (thanks Erik!) as well as Joe O's over at layoutmode.com (thanks Joe!). I like the results so far, but was wondering if anyone knew of any available "brushed metal" graphics? I know some folks don't care for the brushed metal look but I kind of like it. webcat Posted December 3, 2002 Share Posted December 3, 2002 it's very simple to create brushed metal if you have photoshop, just add some mono noise to a blank image, then motion blur it by about 10 pixels on a 90 degree angle, then play around with the contrast until you have the correct shade. bingo! you'll have apple's brushed metal! Webcat, I just figured out how I could get brushed metal from my new copy of PhotoShop Elements 2, with a filter/style. I'll have to see if your PhotoShop method works in Elements.
