I need to import records from a file and I would like to choose a matching field to update matching records during the import. So that this happens I thought I should choose the Import action - Update matching records in current found set.

But I've tested and the only imported records are the new ones. Nothing happens to the existing records that need to be updated.

What should I do to make it work ?

In the import dialog... you set up a single field as a match field. Did you then set up the rest as importing fields?

Yes. It's working now. The matching field was wrong.
