Ocean West
I am setting up an iMac (LCD/ w CDRW) as a FileMaker Server. Currently Running 9.2.2 Every thing works great. Also I have an AppleScript that will backup a folder of files to CDR via Toast. The problem is how to avoid the alert that gets triggered when I insert a Blank CD. I have done similar with external devices but internal CD drives have to be "Prepared" I don't really want user interventon here. Since the backup will not take place for another 5 hours. Any sugguestions?
jasonwood
Try disabling the "Disc Burner Extension". Since you are using Toast, you do not need any of the functionality of Disc Burner.
Ocean West
Thanks Jason I also had to disable the Apple CD extension as it will still pop the dialog that you need to initialize this disk. Appearantly Toast has it's own drivers to talk to the drive.
