I downloaded the trial version of FM5 server and loaded it onto my NT workstation.

I have a few test databases that I dropped into the FM server folder but I cannot see my server when I click the host button from another machine.

What do I need to do to make the server host these files? Do these files need to be open in FM5 to be active?

Thanks any basic instructions.

If the files are in the FMP server folder or in a folder in the server folder, they will be opened automatically when FMP server starts. The files should be multi-user or the host single user option in FMP server must be checked. The protocol should be set to TCP/IP in both server and client software.

Click "Hosts","Specify Host" and enter the server IP.
