A small group of 5 consecutive images out of 10,000 is giving me the same problem. They are fine in FM6, but not in FM4; fine with Internet Explorer. They are well within normal size range, but when made smaller they sometimes work. Recreating the images from scratch doesn't help. I'm stuck, too.

Is there a good listing of JPEG error codes?

I haven't heard of error #62

I've heard of error #53. But that has to do with large jpegs in an older version.

How are you inserting the images? Are they large or complex? Do you have the latest patch for your version of FileMaker?

I have been getting the same error. The images were there and have been for awhile. Now after a different search today 2 have been replaced with the Error #62 message. I had even printed the files and the images were fine, but now are not. Any ideas??? I am using FM pro 5 on a Windows 2000 computer.

I have the same error on 2 Windows NT4 and 2 Windows XP Machines, the remaining 6 Windows XP Machines, 3 Windows NT4 and 5 OSX Machines do not have this problem with the same image.

The windows xp machines are exactly the same in hardware and software.

I am lost now.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Grt,

Robert

Firstly, for anyone who is interested, you will find a free download of an .fp5 file which is a complete list of jpeg error codes and their descriptions and definitions, which is available from the Resources page of the NightWing web site at:

http://www.nightwing.com.au/FileMaker/resources.html

FWIW, error #62 is error definition 'JERR_TFILE_CREATE' and is decribed as 'Failed to create temporary file'. It would typcially be associated with a disk write error (eg disk too full or privileges not assigned etc) but there may be other system or disk error conditions that would also produce it.
