What's the go?

Is it just me.. (quite possibly) I have a value list based on a relationship. I also want the user to have the option of adding additional values.

I dislike Pop-up Menu I think it's ugly - especially when that list can grow, I like using Pop-up List with its scroll bar.

So can someone tell me why only pop-up menu will allow you to add 'other'. Pop up list gives you no added features.

I could understand (maybe) check box, radio buttons not being able to add due to display reasons. But why can't menu and list pop-ups have the same feature?:

Actually you could use the modifying function. It brings you to the list. Just add the new record you want in the list.

It would be interresting if someone could tell us what is the difference between add and modify functions, as I cannot see the difference.

Edited : OOps. True for conditional... but this time I do not know what this function is there for, as I cannot see how entering a new value in this conditional value list (based on relationship) would create a relationship...
