I never SEE the silly things in any fields, which is another pet peeve ... surely there should be some way to view any invisible characters such as

In fact, I just copied the one between these two sentences (ala the blank space BBEdit and this paragraph In fact.....) and then pasted it into my FM file and it worked. HTH Lee

It works on both platforms here. It is noteworthy that the error you are getting (GDI.exe) is not a FileMaker error, but is generated elsewhere within Windows. This points to a problem elsewhere, such as a configuration issue, a memory error, or some other form of corruption. I suggest that you investigate the source of the GDI.exe error.
