Layout Design ?????

Featured Replies

Ok, I want to make a particular layout, but I'm kind of confused as to how I should design it. I guess the best way for me to describe my layout is to show you how I'd like it to look. First off, here are some of the main fields...

Song Title, Film Title, Status (can be one of three options...New, Researching, Complete).

And here is how I want my layout to look

___________New________Researching_________Complete______Totals

---------------------------------------------------------------

Film 1__|___2______________0__________________1_____|_____3

Film 2__|___0______________9__________________6_____|____15

Film 3__|___5______________1__________________3_____|_____9

---------------------------------------------------------------

Totals______7______________10_________________10_________27

The numbers represent the number of songs that have that status (for example, Film 1 has two songs that have a status of "New").

Can anyone give me advice as to how I can design this layout? Thanks so much for the help.

Cameron...

Hi:

Since films and songs are different, and a film may have more than one song, I suggest using a film file and a song file and relate them. The song file can have the status options (new, researching and complete), and the film file can show a count in a list view.
