January 31, 200323 yr Newbies Hi, All--Hope you can help! I have a "dummy" file I use to collate records from other files, to get them all into the same place. As I use it, I need to delete all records, then import the appropriate ones. No matter how I set up the "Delete All Records" script step--whether as a script in itself or as a step in other scripts--Sometimes it deletes the records, and sometimes it just ignores that step altogether, and imports the new records on top of the old. I have used "Show All Records" first, and "Show Omitted Records" also in conjuction...I've tried a bunch of things. What's happening here? Thanks for any help you can offer, Stephen
February 1, 200323 yr My guess is that it has to do with your found count. Delete all records deletes all records in your found count, if you have no records found, you have none to delete. Try: Show all records delete all records
February 1, 200323 yr I have used "Show All Records" first, and "Show Omitted Records" also in conjuction Show all records will show all records If you then use "Show Omitted", you will end up with no records found! (woooops!)
