Unable Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 from: http://www.filemaker.com/products/fm_requirements.html "Our plan is that the new FileMaker 6 line will be our last developed for Mac OS 9." Why would anyone with FMPro 5.5- and Mac OSX+ want to invest in FMPro 6? Why not just wait for the version to be written for OSX+ Or does 6 really have that much more to offer? It's still single-threaded without queueing in ScriptMaker isn't it?
jasonwood Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 The only reason to upgrade from 5.5 to 6 is for a few new features, like constrained and expanded finds and custom dialogue boxes. I am using 5.5... personally I see no reason to upgrade. Why not just wait for the version to be written for OSX+ Not sure I know what you mean here. FileMaker has been made for OS X since version 5.5. Just because they're going to stop supporting OS 9 in the next version, doesn't mean it will be more "written for OS X" than it is now...
