Newbies molly Posted August 19, 2001 Newbies Share Posted August 19, 2001 Hello, I'm currently doing some catalogue work on Filemaker Pro 4.0. I would like to transfer the information to from Filemaker to Microsoft Word. Is this possible?? How do I do it if there is a way? Thanks Molly

Newbies molly Posted August 20, 2001 Author Newbies Share Posted August 20, 2001 Anatoli thanks for your reply. I know that I can copy and paste and tahts about it. Is Filemaker compatible with Microsoft Word?? How do I get a data entry record transferred into Word without doing copy and paste? Molly
SteveB
The question is: What do you really want to do? You can export the data in various forms and create merge files that can be opened in Word. It really depends on your end goals. Steve
Anatoli
Sometimes I am using Clipboard button to trigger a simple script to copy the whole formatted address from Calc field to Clipboard. That is for prefabricated heading for Letter in Word. You can also export some fields tab delimited and import that file into Word. You can probably do something through ODBC on PC. Or with combination of VBS on PC. You can use AppleScript on Mac. Will be some of this OK for you? Could you tell me more about your needs?
