Paolo Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 is it possible to insert a pdf into a container field ? how do you do that? Thanks in advance...
falkaholic Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 I'm pretty sure its possible on the Windows versions of FileMaker Pro. Its not possible on Mac. You can drag a pdf file or copy and paste into a contianer field.
jfmcel Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 You can insert PDF into container fields on the Mac OS X with FM 6. You will see only the first page. You can insert PDFs in as quicktime reference and play them like a movie. The movie randomly pages forward, skipping most pages, but you can also advance one frame at a time. I've heard on a window machine, double click on a PDF stored as a reference will open the PDF.
TerribleToll Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Opening a PDF (or image) in a container feild is simple. Just assign a button to the field triggering a script to Open URL on the File Path.
jfmcel Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Sure you can script the same functionality, but it would be nice if the windows functionality was replicated on the mac.
