Newbies verblender Posted March 14, 2003 Newbies Posted March 14, 2003 Hi, It is my understanding that if you include a field with auto-enter creation or modification dates, the data will be stored. The effect will be applied to all subsequent entries. My question is this: Is there a way to determine when files were created or modified if they don't have these options originally specified? That is to say, can I determine when files were created or modified last if the creation/modification field is not defined? Thanks for your time, john
Fitch Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 When FILES were created/modified, yes. Just Get Info in the Finder on a Mac, or look at the Properties in Windows. When RECORDS were created/modified, no.
BobWeaver Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 The records will be chronological order if you unsort the file. You will know the order in which they were created, but not the actual date. This may be better than nothing though.
