Hello everyone...new to the forum and fairly new to FMP 6.0. I've tried searching the net and have read many books (including FMP Bible) and I'm alittle confused. I'm trying to create a "solution" that would have a MENU page, and then multiple databases that are accessed by the Menu. I tried putting everything in one database and use multiple layouts but that doesn't work. I guess I need to build multiple .fp5 files, but I can't figure out a script to call them up maximized. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Create an "Open" script that maximizes the window.

Now, have the button in the Main file perform the external (Open) script in the appropriate file.

Do a search at www.fmfiles.com for: Main Menu, Navigation, and or, Hierarchical. I can't remember which one it was, but it should provide a place to start. Also, Check the sample files in this forum there is a Navigation file there to that show how to have a floating menu which could help.

Hi Scott,

Go to www.clevelandconsulting.com and download their "CCNavigation". It's the best example of a Main Menu in FileMaker-dom, bar none. That is assuming I've seen all of them and I have not. So would you believe its at least a good one!

Enjoy,

hj
