I am new to this scenario with FMpro...I have FMPro server 6 running on a WIN2K Advanced Server Box...I also have FMPro develop for Mac and Windows. I am trying to build a production tracking system that uses FM and Wasp Barcode systems....anyone have any suggestions for a newbie? I am trying to build a custom product tracking system for a manufacturing facility....Any suggestions or ideas appreciated..TIA

That's a really broad question, hard to know what you really want to know.

Wouldn't the Wasp software be more of an alternative to FileMaker? How (and why) would you use them both together?

This is a real "I'm new to medicine and I'd like to do brain surgery" question. Production tracking can range from fairly simple systems to MRP systems. The more complex of these are definitely not newbie problems.

Search some threads on barcode scanner recommendations. The average scanner is hard to program and/or won't do preambles and postscripts. I would have recommended something besides the Wasp stuff.
