Change Reference in Container Fileds

Featured Replies

Hello FM People!

As most you have dealt with this issue I will ask you for the help smile.gif

I was wondering, if possible at all, is there a short script that can grab a reference to an image (fromcontainer field) and and chage it on the fly.

eg. from location

c:folderimages

...........to some other letter (mapped networked drive)

g:folderimages

If any of you have an answer I would really apprechiate it!

The Goal: alow users to use Predetermined local folder for image storage and manipulation and then execute THE SCRIPT wink.gif to adjust the DB ones images loaded to a network drive (everybody mapped to the same letter)!

So there it is... smile.gif I hope you can help!

Thank you all for the input!

Hi:

Have you looked into the Troi file plug in? It gives more file manipulation ability.

Hi Ken!

Thanx for the note...actually I have looked at it...and I know that most of the solutions out there can be purchased. But this then negates the fact I am trying to develop-improve something. I don't want to sound cheep but at the end of the day anything can be bought...

So, does this mean that most of you guys have just purchased the Troi plugin and went on with your lives...or...is there an alternative?

thanx you all
