Hi - We are running Filemaker 5.5 and I would like to develop some KIOSK applications. Does anyone know where I can buy a copy of Filemaker 5.5 Developer? I called Filemaker Tech support and they said that they no longer stock Developer 5.5.

we don't want to upgrade to v6 right now due to costs (over 35 users and server licence are pricey).

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Scott

I think you will find that FM 5.5 new in the box will be about the same price as 6. I saw 6 on amazon.com for like $345. I looked at where I bought it from a vendor on nextag.com and they don't stock it anymore either.

I recently bought unlimited 6, and I wish I had developer 6 instead of 5.5.

what do you mean works, ugo?

Well,

FM Developper 6 is on my latest shopping cart. But I don't have FileMaker 6 !!

I thouhgt FileMaker Developer 6 would work with FM 5.5 Files

Yeah, Pro 5.5 will work with Pro 6 files because they are still .fp5 if that's what you mean. What I would like to do is bind runtimes with the import abilities of 6 and the custom dialog stuff. All this can be accomplished with 5.5 and plug ins, but you usually have to buy a developers license of these plug ins which is kinda tough when youre ballin on a budget bro!

Hi Ken,

That's what I meant.

For what you've just said, there is apparently a bug with the Custom dialog if you give an eye to a very recent thread here....
