algernonsidney
Filemaker Pro 4 crashed twice when trying to print. One was a local printer, and one was networked. It is running on Windows 2000. Could it be something with the spooler? All other programs are working fine, and Filemaker has crashed on other occasions. Chris
cjaeger
- same database? - same layout? - same images in container or on layout? Check for corruption in reverse order by using - a different image - a different layout - a different database - a clean install of filemaker
Anatoli
IMHO -- use the oldest possible drives for the printers. Even FM 5.5 is having some problems with new HP printer drivers.
algernonsidney
I have heard the suggestion about older print drivers before. I remember installing a 550 driver for a 2000 once, by order of a HP technician. Chris
SteveB
And FM also has some problems with older HP drivers. Steve
Anatoli
Hi Steve, in that case one must install newer drivers
algernonsidney
I got more information. The problems mainly occur when the user changes printers. If she has been printing to her local 720 all day and then decides to send a page to the 8000, it crashes. She especially has problems printing to Adobe Acrobat Distiller (to make PDF's). Thanks.
