Hi All,

i am trying to host a FM db on the web. all files reside on the web server. now it is linked from the home page of my website Which i have configured in the web companion plug-in.

The user will login then i want them to insert their user name and password, which i have set up on the web security dbs.

but when i log in and try to get in to the databse - it just comes up with saying the databse isnt open but it is named the same as the link in the html file and also the same as specified in the web security db!

any help would be appreciated!! or any better ideas?

The dbs need to be opened in FMP or FMU with the Web Companiuon plug-in enabled AND the Web Companion needs to be selected in the Sharing options for each individual database. Web Companion acts as the web server for handling http and CGI requests.

The dbs cannot be uploaded to any old web server.
