I've read in a couple of posts that is possible to display related data more than one relation away using calculated fields. Grateful if someone could either explain how this is actually done or point me in the direction of any relevant posts.

- did u mean to display "grandchildren" records or just a related record(child-parent).

well anyhow, basically calculation field can be set directly calc_field Unstored, = RelationShip:: some_other_related_field

so I guess it is kind of a "lookup" (there is a post called 'lookups vs. calculated...')
