Hello People!

Again one of those post about lookup...sorry but I am confused on how to approach this so if u can help it would be great!

goal:

updating record and passing the info to a related file

current scenario:

-2 related files Items -- LineItem

- in Items I have 2 date fields 'StartDate' and 'EndDate' and StartDate is just auto-entere current date while the EndDate is just a date field.

the problem:

-in LineItem file I have both of the mention fields(Start/EndDate) where StartDate is a lookup and gets passed-lookedup just fine - since it is auto entered at the original file (along with some Rel_ID)

-The problem is the EndDate that is entered (manually) at some other point in time and it does NOT get looked up nor auto-entered calcualtion in the LineItem file......

how do I make sure that the "Update" of a main (Item) file reflects also in related (LineItem) file? what other techniques are outthere (newbie here)?

I found the answer:

- it is not:

Lookup nor a Date =Auto-enter Calculation

but it is

Calculation = Unstored, RELATIONSHIP:: EndDate
