Hello Everyone,

We seem to continue to receive this error code. I can't seem to find anything on it and was hoping someone here could shed some light on this. The message with the error is " Communication with the host was lost and could not be reastablished. At first I thought it was the server disconnecting an idle user but this is not the case. Any Ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks, Michael

Thanks but I'm still a litlle unclear. There is no screen saver. The files are being hosted by a Linux server. The server does nothing but host the filemaker databases. Losing information is not the problem. Only the fact that the user is disconected. After the message the user just reopens the database and everything is just fine. Just a little strange.

Is FMS set to disconnect users after a period of inactivity?

Yes they are but they are being disconected long before the time set(3hours).It is also random, sometimes after 20min or even 1hour. It's kinda annoying. Reopens just fine no lost data.

LOL. I guess it's a start huh.

Ya gotta try something. I start at the bottom (simplest) and work my way up.

That is good advice for any troubleshooting. Most of the time it is something simple that was overlooked. Thanks!
