greger Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 How well does Timbuktu work with FileMaker and Mac OS9? I have tried VPN, but we are using a slow DSL connection and it was just too slow. At the moment I only have two other users who is going to acess the database from a remote location. Is Timbuktu the best solution?
Kurt Knippel Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Timbuku is a great solution for remote access. It only transmits keyboard, mouse and screen changes so even on a 56k dial-up it is still pretty acceptable. Plus it is secured, both by Timbuktu itself and by the fact that no actual data is being transmitted.
Fitch Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 Works great, but only one user at a time can control the remote computer.
