Hi all,

Being an eye-candy-junky I made the attached demo that automatically shows different buttons (graphics) and text when changing from browse- to findmode.

I did not test the sample in Windows and I'm curious if the 'Aqua' buttons will retain their transparancy when used on that platform.

Regards,

Ernst.

My experience is "no" it doesn't. But I think there was a posting on a solution for that recently.

I'll check it out on Win

I found the recent posting regarding the image transparency on FM for Win.

Attached is a file that will explain the trick. Nice job Mike Kim on making the demo file.

Don't ever let em tell you Windows is easier than Mac. They both suck to me smile.gif

Hey Ernst! Your aqua buttons look great on Win XP (FM 6.04). Thanks for sharing it with us. smile.gif

@ Ken,

I checked the demo Kim made and find it nicely done. But am I happy that I can do this on a Mac... Process is:

Select with magic wand in Photoshop, Copy, goto Filemaker, Paste.

@ LaRetta,

Thanks for having a look in Windows, and hope it's also sort of useful, besides being nice (The Filemaker Error codes are in there, so who knows...)

Best regards,

Ernst.

I guess it goes a bit faster:

Either create the button rotated and then make the BG transparent after 1st rotation in layout mode or...

If you did not create the graphic yourself and dont have Editing software for the picture....

After rotating, cut picture and paste special as Bitmap.

rotate three more times and make BG transparent.

Should work...
