E-mail layout

This subject has probably been addressed in the past so please bear with me. We're using FMPro5.5 in MacOSX with Entourage. I'd like to e-mail a layout complete with fields and have the To: Subject and Body of the e-mail message automatically transferred from the FM layout.

Would appreciate any assistance

thanks

Hi:

I don't know of a way to e-mail a layout directly, but you can print layouts to PDF and attach them to e-mails. It cannot be part of the body, though. If you wanna do it this way, look into the Send Mail function. You can specify fields as the to: from: body: and all that jazz.

Another option is to use a plug-in like SMTPit and send HTML e-mail directly from FM. You can even include in-line images. Won't exactly be your layout, though.

There is a program put out by Fusion Dzine called e-bullet. It looked very promising to my company, but would need some modifications to integrate to our system. I tried to contact them for their consultant charge, and they never called back. Anyways, it looks pretty cool.

I'm familiar with pdf however I'd rather not send the e-mail with an attachment. Thanks for the feedback in any case
