August 9, 200322 yr how you do a script where the find can find different things every time?! i don't know what the next search it will be on. i need to make find script that will search for different values in the same field. a lot of values. can't do a find script for every one! how is this done? can a script be done in which the find searches on a given global field value?
August 12, 200322 yr Author i posted this 5 days ago.... i guess at least a "NO" will do it but hay who cares.... right?
August 13, 200322 yr Look in the Finding & Searching forum, I just added to your thread there. Also, don't take it personally if your post doesn't get answered. We're all just volunteers here, and sometimes a question will slip through the cracks. Other times, it's not clearly worded or it's too long, or maybe nobody knows the answer. You should feel free to repost if you don't get an answer. But as -Q- says, posting the same question twice in one day is frowned upon.
August 13, 200322 yr Sorry if I was harsh and succinct. I was merely annoyed by seeing that you had already been answered (and responded) apparently before you even double-posted, which makes it just a waste of your time and ours.
August 21, 200322 yr Author i wouldn' really post it twice if i'd get an answer. i just don't do that - i was stuck on this problem and i just wanted quick solution. eventually i figured it out but had to spend extra time.... wasn't intending to waste anybody's time.....
August 21, 200322 yr No harm, no foul. I've just seen too many double-postings during the last week, and it's annoying the heck out of me. I shouldn't have taken it out on you. But you had already been answered in the other forum, which is why nobody responded to this one. I think there should be a big red warning message for new members that says "Please be patient and don't double post." Anyone think is a possibility?
