Newbies rhino1 Posted August 19, 2003 Newbies Posted August 19, 2003 Hey everyone..I just joined the group, something I should have done years ago. I have a few questions I hope can be answered by someone smarter than me. I have been using FM for over 16 years but I am a newbie at trying to make it work on the web. First off, my Web Host will only accept SQL. So started to teach myself SQL....(lol)! I don't think it's worth my time since FM is so much more powerfull. My questions: 1. How do I get my FM data base to work on my web site? 2. Is there a way to import FM into SQL? Is this really needed? 3. Where should I go to get some written documentation on how to create FM data bases for use on the Web? Thanks in advance for any help, Leonardo
Garry Claridge Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 You would need to find a hosting service which does FM. Or, orgainise a fixed IP etc for your own FM host. Check the CDML Forum for some insight to building FM web-applications. Some example files also exist. It may be worth your while to do a Search on "CDML Reference Database". All the best. Garry
