The exe files open slowly..

Hi all,

I bind my fp5 files via developer 6.v4

But i have a problem as you see the subject. The exe file opens very slowly. And there is no windıw tahat indicates opening progress.

My users cant understand my file is running or not before lots of secons passed.

What can i do?? confused.gif

I have the same problem, which I reported yesterday on the General Filemaker Forum. I probably should have posted it here.

I can open the .exe in about 2-3 seconds on my PC, but when I port it over to other PC's it takes 10-20 seconds to open (even on "faster" PCs with more memory and disk). Since I hope to distribute my application, I find this situation not tolerable. Hoping someone out there has discovered a "fix" for this.

How many fonts?

Lots of fonts may be installed users computer. So uninstalling fonts is not solve my problem.

Can i add a progress bar while opening via a plug-in?
