Recommend a Gif Animator program???

I'm looking for a program that makes animated gifs. I used to have one that doesn't install and worked great but I have accidently deleted it and don't remember the name. It was a freeware. What do you guys recommend? Preferably freeware but will consider to purchase one. Thanks

They have a few options listed, including some freeware and shareware - and maybe you'll find something that will be suitable.

Be advised, I don't think that animated gif's display as animated in FMP.
