Jason Barker Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I am trying to restrict a particular user (password) to only creating records in FileMaker. This user would access my custom web form, fill it out, and click the submit button. This form has "-NEW" as the name of the submit button. I've unchecked all privileges except 'Create record' under File > Access Privileges > Passwords. When I try to submit the form, I get an error: Access Restriction: You do not have access privileges to perform the action: new. How to I set up this password to allow the user to only ADD records to the database? Thanks!
Garry Claridge Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I would use the "Web Security" database. It can be setup there. All the best. Garry
Vaughan Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 For Web Companion to work the password needs to allow browse and export privileges. This is why setting privileges through the Web Security databases better.
