October 29, 200322 yr I need to select one of three choices. One must be selected. I would like to use radio buttons to select the choice in a field. Should be relatively simple, I just can't seem to come up with it. Larry
October 29, 200322 yr Hi: First, you will have to define a value list of the selection items. Go to File/Define Value Lists to do this. Then, right-click on your field and select Field format. Under Style, click the drop down box and select Radio buttons. On the right, choose the value list. If you don't feel like right-clicking, just go to Format/Field Format. Same deal. ken
October 29, 200322 yr Author I've gotten that far from the HELP menu. I have the field on the layout and the values are displayed. I can't find anything that tells you how to create the radio buttons That would allow you to select one of the three items in the Value list Larry
October 29, 200322 yr If you have a field formatted as radio buttons with the value list you desire, then you're done. Perhaps you haven't defined the boundaries of the field to be wide or tall enough to display the three choices from your value list?
October 29, 200322 yr Author I needed to add the field onto the layout so I could see the change when made. Now how do I change the format of the names to a Check button little doDad? And I needed to set colors to show the circles. Are there any other options for displaying buttons? Thanks for the help!! Larry
October 29, 200322 yr OH! You need some borders. Right-click and go to Field Borders. In the format drop-down box, select Borders and make sure they are visible. That should do it.
