Is there any way at all to have FM create a folder or directory?

For example. Lets say one of my fields has the value "DataFolder." Is there anyway to have FM create a folder titled "DataFolder" in some directory?

Not with FileMaker alone. You'll need either AppleScript, WinBatch or perhaps (I don't know for sure) Troi File Plug-in.
