Newbies mbullock Posted November 13, 2003 Newbies Posted November 13, 2003 I have created a FileMaker solution to run a contest. My question is this: I have FileMaker Developer 6 and have created a runtime version of my solution. Is there a way to network 3 or 4 computers to that file as a Local Area Network (no internet connection-just an ethernet hub) so that several users could input information into the file at the same time? If that won't work, is there a way to do this without each computer having its own copy of FileMaker Pro installed? I'm dealing with schools, and want to keep the cost down as much as possible.
Henry Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 For runtime solution, it cannot support network. It is standalone. For network, you need to install fmp. Regards, Henry
Anatoli Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 Correct. Then you can put your run-time databases to server and share it with FM clients. Or get FM3 developer.
