Printing problem within scrpits

greetings all!

I have little problem and I don't really know if it can be solved....

I have a computer (duh!) that is connect to 2 printers (let say and laser printer and a LABEL printer.

One of my file maker document requires the Laser Print and the other the Label printer.

question:

Is there a way to script the change of printer without having to go into the page setup every time?

I just find that everytime that I have to print out a label that I have to change the print setup or else it will print on the laser, and when I print out a label, I have to change it back to the laser.....grrrrr...

HELP!!

You can store the page setup in a FM script, but not the printer choice (unless you use a plug-in):

Page Setup (restore, without dialog) ==> define the appropriate page setup right before

Print (with dialog) ==> and you have "only" to change the printer manually

I also face this problem before, what i do is create a script a setting menu. When user want to use laser printer, they only go to chane one time an then can use for all script. If they want to change printer, then can go to change on the setting menu. But i think this is not the best way for your case if you always need to change printer.

Detlev, is that the new picture is you? i think yesterday i still saw the baby picture. smile.gif

Do you see a difference, Henry?
