Vaughan Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 You folks are the first to know... I'm taking the plunge and quitting my day job to pursue FMP development work in early February! Thanks to you good people at the Forum for your support and encouragement. My goal is to work with good developers in and around Sydney and generally get the teamwork-thing happening. I had a few offers late last year for FMP work but couldn't take them on because I was still tied to my day job, and I'd rather not do a job than do it badly. That won't be a problem any longer! I'd like to touch base with other FMP developers. My home phone number is 02 9958 3987 in Sydney Australia. Thanks.
John Caballero Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Way to go Vaughan! Work for developers here in the States has dried up in the last 4 or so years. When I first moved to the West Coast I did a search for FM developers on a few of the job boards and there were many to be found...now...nuthin'. What is the environment like in Oz?
ESpringer Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Gee, I had always assumed this *was* your day-job, Vaughn! Or maybe your day-job has been putting time into answering questions on these forums? Best of luck!
kenneth2k1 Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Ahh, it seems like only yesterday Vaughn and Bob Weaver were helping me with my first FM problem... I had always assumed it was your day-job, too. Which begs the question - what were you doing? If I lived in Sydney, you know i would be callin' you! Ken
stanley Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 Best of luck, Vauhgan. I hope things are better in Sydney than they are in New York - then again, I've picked up two new contracts in the last month, so I shouldn't complain. -Stanley
Vaughan Posted January 30, 2004 Author Posted January 30, 2004 Thanks for the kind words and thoughts folks.
Anatoli Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Best luck! You are the only one keeping the 5* here
