LiveOak Posted March 14, 2001 Posted March 14, 2001 For email, I prefer to use a FM plug-in such as SMTPit from www.comm-unity.net. It doesn't require a separate mail application. You can implement a complete send and receive mail systems from within FM. -bd
jayman Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 Liveoak... Hi. Can I ask, how do you make a button created in FMP work in the browser - when clicked on my current button to 'go to a layout' within the same database, won't work? help! ------------------ <<<from_jayman>>>
rothdavid Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 Hi: I have added a button on a layout for send email and it works on PC's but not on any of the macs. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting FMP 5.0 to launch OE 5-mac and pasting the email address in the TO: field of a new message window. Works flawless on a PC but not on mac?? Half mailed, half waiting.... David ------------------ David Roth Gulfshore Media, Inc
DykstrL Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 Use the "Open URL" script step and use the "Mailto:" tag. It works on both MAC and PC and will use the user's default mail system. The drawbacK is: you can't automate adding attachments to the email message.
rothdavid Posted March 16, 2001 Posted March 16, 2001 Thank you very much for that tip... I'll try it out. Happy St. Patty's Day to you David
