March 14, 200124 yr For email, I prefer to use a FM plug-in such as SMTPit from www.comm-unity.net. It doesn't require a separate mail application. You can implement a complete send and receive mail systems from within FM. -bd
March 15, 200124 yr Liveoak... Hi. Can I ask, how do you make a button created in FMP work in the browser - when clicked on my current button to 'go to a layout' within the same database, won't work? help! ------------------ <<<from_jayman>>>
March 15, 200124 yr Hi: I have added a button on a layout for send email and it works on PC's but not on any of the macs. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting FMP 5.0 to launch OE 5-mac and pasting the email address in the TO: field of a new message window. Works flawless on a PC but not on mac?? Half mailed, half waiting.... David ------------------ David Roth Gulfshore Media, Inc
March 15, 200124 yr Use the "Open URL" script step and use the "Mailto:" tag. It works on both MAC and PC and will use the user's default mail system. The drawbacK is: you can't automate adding attachments to the email message.
March 16, 200124 yr Thank you very much for that tip... I'll try it out. Happy St. Patty's Day to you David
