Hi all I have a database that we use to record customer info, sales date ect along with a scan of their contract in a container field. What i am having trouble with is a way to bring the scan, it is currently jpg, up to a viewable size. it is setup as a link to the file. what i need to do is either be able to have the link clickable and pop up a larger image or set up a button or layout to dothe same thing. have looked in help files but don't see what i'm looking for, any one help??

Have you tried making a layout that only has your container field on it? Size it to completely fille the layout (& extend bottom of layout as needed). Then make a navigation button that sends the user here. The effect should be the image suddenly becomes full-screen sized.

i have tried that approach but it didn't print full screen and the quality is not great. Ideally it would be best if it would open another program such as paint. This is used by relatively casual computer users and everything must be as simple as posssible.

thanks for the advise

If you use the Insert Object command, it will link the image file to FM. Once it is there, you can double click on the container and it will open with your default image viewer. One problem though: there's a chance it will display as an icon, even if you don't want it to. If that's the case, then you'll have to have one container for thumbnails and another for the linked object.

I'm curious about the quality problem. I continue to be amazed at the way FMP keeps the quality when enlarging pictures. Is your original, scanned image OK?
