Create a RunTime on 98 Crashes on XP

Featured Replies

Subject says it all.

I have a database that I have been developing for some time. I created a RunTime using Dev6.0 using Win98. The database works fine on 98, and 2000. But my users that are using XP are getting crashes all the time. The crashes end up damaging one or more of the tables.

Anyone else see this type of thing happening before? I guess I better try to bind using an XP box see if that works.

Of course no problems with OSX or OS9 wink.gif

My bets: Corrupted file or fonts. I know it should happen on all the platforms, but every once in a while when there really isn't a logical reason try recovering the file that gets corrupted before you create the runtime.

Thanks for the advice Steve. I tried to create the RT a second time on an XP box seemed to fix the problem on some of the clients. Next I will recover the effected files.
