Would anyone know of a book which would help in developing and understanding scripts in Filemaker. I kind of new to the whole script thing.

Scriptology by John Mark Osborne and Matt Petrowsky. It covers versions 3 and 4, but is applicable to 5 and 6, excepting the newer steps.
