I search a lot over the Web, but find nothing...

I would like to know if it is possible to call a macro stored in the Outlook session by using Send DDE Execute or Send Message function, and if it is I would like to have an example of the syntax we have to use.

Please don't tell me about plug-ins, that's not what I am looking for...

Any help will be welcome, thanks a lot!

I don't think it was a matter of being impossible, but more of a matter of timing on your part. You asked this question on the day FileMaker released version 7 this list, along with every FM discussion list got overwhelmed with chatter about the new product.

Also, there has been a ton of discussion on this and the other list I belong to concerting Outlook Express and FileMaker.

And lastly, there are plugin that have been developed for what you want to do.

DDE has to do with Target Application and not FM....so your answers will be in with creators of the application....but, Lee gave you some great links anyhow.

I am using 5.5 to send messages from filemaker through outlook 2002, using dde commands, if this is what you are trying to do, I would be glad to send you the setup to send dde to outlook. jim
