Creating multiple records with one form.

Featured Replies

Hi there. I'm working on a database that holds survey answers and for statistical purposes it is really helpful for me to store each answer as a record in an answers database. The problem is, when taking the survey, I want users to be able to answer all 16-20 questions on one page and then create the 16-20 records in the answer database. I'm trying to get away with doing this without cookies.

Can it be done with inline actions? I know I'm grasping at straws here, and I know there are some ugly ways to work around it (a submit button for each question, a seperate page for each question) but I'm posting in the hopes that there's something simple and elegant that I'm just not seeing. Thanks in advance for any help.

Version: v5.x

Platform: Mac OS X Panther

A few ways exist:

1. Use Javascript to submit multiple Forms.

2. Use PHP

3. Use a Portal (maybe not for multiple record creation)

Good Luck.

Ok. You are using FMPro5.x. Clearly you are using Unlimited for the web.

Make life (and the web) as comfortable as an easy chair for your clients. Use one (1) web form. One (1) layout.

Then have your p2p solution dissect (parse) that form and do your stats on the qByq.

And if you want to put those stats online, that then becomes another part of your web solution.

But I don't know squat.
