jasonwood Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Hi there, I'm trying to change a client's logo on their invoices but it seems no matter what format I use, the quality is super-lousy when printed. You can zoom in to 400% and it still looks clear on screen. I have high-quality versions of the new logo in EPS, JPG, TIFF and none seem to work. Any ideas? Version: v5.x Platform: Mac OS X Jaguar
AudioFreak Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 This may not be your problem but worth looking into. I had that exact same problem printing an invoice also. It turned out that in the print Dialogue it was defaulting to a driver for an old printer everytime Filemaker printed. I removed the old driver and the problem went away. Michael
jasonwood Posted March 19, 2004 Author Posted March 19, 2004 I tried saving as a PDF and it even looks terrible when I open it in Acrobat (on screen). I'm just using the generic laser printer driver in OS X - through AppleTalk. My customer is printing over Rendevous, and has the same problem.
Vaughan Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Make sure your FMP is patched to the last level. Updates on the web site.
jasonwood Posted March 20, 2004 Author Posted March 20, 2004 Yep I have 5.5v2. I noticed the problem also happens in AppleWorks, but not in Preview. I'm not sure what to try next...
